On the 4th May, Louise took us all to Buckingham Palace in her parents' new car.
Why? Because her sister had been awarded with an MBE. Of course, being a Laird myself, I merely indulged the family's pride at her achievement, bless 'em. They don't know what it's like to be proper nobility ;-)
Sadly I wasn't allowed in as I forgot my passport and she was only allowed 3 guests anyway, and they weren't allowed to take photos inside Buck House, but I understand they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and decided that His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales was much younger and better looking in person than he appears on the telly.
Of course The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were visiting the colonies that week. A place called Jamestown. I believe it's in some backwater of the Empire known as the United States of America?
They were a bit sad because Louise's Dad is paralysed so got to sit at the front in his wheelchair, but that meant the others couldn't sit with him, but they got over it ;-)
The family let me pose with Natalya's badge as they figured I do a lot of good work for charidee ;-)
