A last look around



That's a nice house down by the river. I wonder who lives there. That's the sort of place a noble wabbit could feel at home.







Do you suppose Rosie would notice if I went off on a wander up there?




Hiding from Rosie again.

Would you believe it? Another Hall I was going to visit and this one is closed as well! They won't even allow us up the driveway. This is Houghton Towers where James I knighted a loin of beef. Personally I would have just got on with eating it but some of those royals were a funny bunch.

According to locals he'd been invited round for a spot of dinner by Sir Bernard de Houghton and it was such a scrumptious meal that the king asked what the meat was called and the cook said it was a loin of beef. "From this time henceforth" said King Jim, "it shall be known as Sir Loin of Beef on account of it being delicious." Sounds a bit like Laird Dillon of MDCC only I'm not on the dinner menu!!!
