I am spending a couple of months staying with Splodgums in Wiltshire. I have not stayed with her before. There's some good countryside around here and the locals seem to have an unusual habit of carving horses into the side of hills. I didn't see any rabbits - Splodgums says they only have horse ones here, although there is one of a rather excitable human man in a neighbouring county. Splodgums does not know why horses are so popular for hill carvings but she said she'll suggest a rabbit if someone does another one. We can see wild rabbits at the side of the road if we go for a drive in the early evening, but no monkeys or parrots - I wonder why that is?
Day 1
I was a bit worried when I arrived at my new destination, I could hear barking but it stopped before my box became still - it turns out that this is how Splodgums and Mr S are alerted to the arrival of the postman.
I met the maker of the noise very soon and she turned out to be quite friendly. I am
nervous about dogs in general but this one seems to like me and has not tried to eat me. (Her eyes are not really different colours, it's the flash!)
Splodgums and Molly showed me the garden.
